We may be biased, but we believe that the best way to
maximise your holiday is through coach travel. As soon as you
set foot on one of our vehicles, you get to view the world
around you from a perspec}ve like no other and see more
des}na}ons than you bargained for!
Lush, dense forests, deep valleys and crystal‐clear nords and
lakes, Norway is a spectacular sight to behold and has retained
much of its magic. With such fairy‐tale scenery, it stands to
reason that Telemark has the strongest associa}ons to folklore
in Norway; nature‐related gods spirits of the waters, seas and
mountains
Locally referred to as the eighth wonder of the world, the fairy‐
tale waterway of the Telemark Canal is an underrated gem.
Observe the canal side community in ac}on and soak in the
atmosphere, with beau}ful scenery that is rich in cultural
history, original working locks and varying signs bearing local
poetry on a cruise on the calm and clear waters.
Looking as though it could be cast in gingerbread straight from
Grimm’s tales, visit the fabulous }mber framed Eidsborg stave
church and admire the fabulous silhouete that its turrets casts
against its surrounds. Ensure you pay aten}on to its tradi}ons
and let the women sit on the lev side of the building to ward off
the evil trolls that descend from the North.
The magic of the Rjukan Waterfall was harnessed to create the
world’s largest power sta}on, which was later sabotaged to
prevent the development of a nuclear bomb using heavy water
during the Second World War. Nestled in the mountainous and
rural countryside that is s}ll steeped in ancient culture, learn
about the unique industrial history of the community at the
Vemork Museum.
