women who built, operated, and
travelled on the Great Western
Railway. Later, visit Bowood House
and Gardens, the Lansdowne family's
home since 1754. Explore exhibition
rooms showcasing incredible family
artifacts and antiques, including the
Laboratory where Dr. Joseph Priestley
isolated oxygen gas in 1774. A full-day
excursion to Bath, including an
introductory walking tour of this great
Roman city, which was an early
pioneer. We travel to the awardwinning WWT Slimbridge. The reserve,
established by visionary artist and
naturalist Sir Peter Scott, opened in
November 1946. Step back in time at
the Scott House Museum, where he
championed the cause of global
wildlife conservation.

scenic counties in Britain whilst
relaxing on cruises and a steam train
journey. We start in the stylish
Regency resort of Sidmouth, before
heading to the seaside resort of
Exmouth for a River Exe circular cruise.
The delightful Exmoor National Park is
the next stop, visiting the unique
medieval village of Dunster. Included
is a nostalgic steam train ride through
the glorious Somerset countryside on
the West Somerset Railway, the
longest steam heritage railway. Finally,
we watch the world go peacefully by

Canal on the last horse-drawn barge

This popular hotel is located on the outskirts of
Tiverton town centre. The large open plan bar
provides plenty of seating, with the Gallery
Restaurant serving quality carvery style meals.
All bedrooms have tea/coffee facilities, TV,

have a lift but there are plenty of ground floor
