An award-winning Christmas experience in Devon – The Christmas Train of
lights by the Dartmouth Steam Railways is a must see in the festive
calendar. The festive illuminated journey starts in Paignton, where the
vintage carriages await you - decorated with thousands of lights, both
inside and out. We take a step back in time with a visit to Torre Abbey. The
Abbey9s collection includes a wealth of incredible works of art, ranging
from the 18th century to the present day. There are lovely gardens to
explore including the walled garden behind the main house. We enjoy a
guided tour of the Potent Plants Garden. Inspired by Torquay9s most
famous former resident, the Queen of Crime Agatha Christie, who had over
half her characters poisoned, we discover just how much she knew about
plant pharmacy, and how looks can be deceptive!

Newquay & a Taste of Cornwall
Take to the coast with a healthy dollop of jam with clotted cream on top
and washed down with lashings of cider! With its unique sub-tropic
climate, Cornwall boasts fertile grounds that allows them to produce some

Located at the Western edge of Newquay with
outstanding views of Fistral Bay is this three-star
hotel. With wonderful views of the bay from the
stylish lounge and restaurant, there is also an
