of storytelling, creativity, and community spirit.

Our cast and crew delved into their roles by
immersing themselves in Dickens' rich characters,
finding both their emotional depth and the humour
that makes A Christmas Carol so timeless.

In 2013, a group of passionate volunteers, wellknown professional actors and local businesses
came together to transform a forgotten historic
chapel into a vibrant independent theatre.
With hard work, donated goods and sheer
determination, the derelict building was brought
back to life.

From our very first production of Dickens’
timeless classic to today, East Riding Theatre has
grown into a beacon of creativity, supported by
the passion and generosity of our hardworking
volunteers and community fulfilling roles like front
of house, box office attendants, café and bar staff
etc...
With esteemed patrons like Dame Judi Dench and
Sir Mark Rylance and an unwavering commitment
to excellence, we look forward to many more
years of making magic on stage. ERT still relies
on its volunteers. Together, we can ensure East
Riding Theatre continues to inspire for decades
to come.
